W433-FLY – 433 MHz captive mount whip antenna

The W433-FLY is a 433 MHz captive mount whip antenna based on a 1/4 wave whip design requiring a groundplane operate optimally. Ideal for fixed and mobile 433 MHz ISM band terminals, the W433-FLY antenna is mounted via a threaded stud and held in place but a locking nut. This captive-mount mechanism ensures that the antenna cannot be easily detached from the terminal thereby discouraging wilful or accidental removal of the antenna from the application.

The W433-FLY is housed in a flexible injection-moulded sheath and typically is supplied with approximately 215mm RG174 cable and is not terminated with a connector. Connectors can be terminated if required, but ensuring that the connector is not larger in diameter than the mounting stud. Therefore connectors such as IPEX, U.FL, MMCX and MCX make good choices for this antenna.

A SMA-Male terminated version of this antenna is available, the MW433 antenna.

WCO-433-WMB – 433 MHz compact outdoor wall mount antenna

The WCO-433-WMB is a 433 MHz compact outdoor wall mount antenna based on a durable 1/4 Wave 433 MHz antenna designed for outdoor deployments. It is supplied as a wall-mount option and mounted on a sturdy L-Bracket which functions as the groundplane for the antenna. It is possible to use the WCO-433 antenna to mount directly onto an enclosure, please contact EAD for this type of application.

Housed in the robust, waterproof, UV-resistant and flame retardent WCO Sheath, the antenna mounts onto a the L-bracket by way of  N-Female connector and is held in place with a nut and washer. The construction of this antenna is very durable and also very compact making it ideal for outdoor deployments for a variety of ISM-band applications including security and telemetry applications.

A jumper cable with N-Male should be used to connect the WCO-433 to the radio.

This antenna design can be customised to different frequencies in the 380-512 MHz band including TETRA 380-400 MHz, 410-430 MHz or 450 MHz.

The WCO-2400-WMB is a similar antenna but operating at 2.4 GHz.

WCO-2400-WMB – compact outdoor WLAN wall mount antenna

The WCO-2400-WMB is a compact outdoor WLAN wall mount antenna designed for continuous outdoor deployment. Housed in a flame-retardant, UV-resistant sheath, the WCO antenna is mounted onto a stainless steel L-bracket for permanent outdoor mounting.

The WCO-2400-WMB antenna offers 2 dBi gain across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, the WCO-2400-WMB is fed by a N-Female connector underneath and mates to custom jumper cables as the installation requires. The cables could be short extension cables or low loss jumper cables for longer cable runs.

Other frequencies are available in the same form factor – 433 MHz, 868 MHz and pentaband GSM/3G.

As an alternative, you could consider the CPW 2.4 / 5 GHz puck antenna on a wall-mount L-bracket.

BUF2400 – WiFi captive mount terminal antenna

The BUF2400 is a WiFi captive mount terminal antenna based on a 2.4 GHz ½ wave dipole design for fixed and portable WiFi and WLAN wireless devices.

Supporting the 2.4 GHz frequency, the BUF2400 is mounted using a captive, multi-position snap-in part and connected to the radio using a U.FL compatible connector.

The BUF2400 is an ideal solution for applications where an external bulkhead (panel mount) antenna connector is not required or undesirable and/or detaching the antenna from the terminal during use is to be avoided.

The BUF2400 provides a neat WLAN and Bluetooth antenna solution. For 4G captive mount antennas, you could consider the LTF7270 antenna.

PTF2100 – GSM 3G captive mount terminal antenna

The PTF2100 is a pentaband GSM 3G captive mount terminal antenna that has an articulating connector for terminals, routers and devices that are running a radio module with U.FL connectors.

The PTF2100 offers a terminal mount antenna solution without the need to use a bulkhead (or panelmount) SMA connector on the enclosure. It has articulating base that locks in 3 positions, vertical, horizontal and at 45 degrees. The antennas mount by way of a threaded stud and are held in place by a locking nut. Through the middle of the stud a coaxial cable feeds the antennas via an IPEX (U.FL compatible) connector.

The PTF2100 is ideal for and for applications where users should be discouraged from removing the antenna from the terminal or device.

The LTF7270 antenna is a 4G/LTE version of the PTF2100.

Pentamag – GSM 3G pentaband magnetic mount antenna

The PentaMag is a GSM 3G pentaband magnetic mount antenna covering the cellular, GSM and 3G frequency bands. The exact frequency support is 824-960 and 1710-2170 MHz. Designed for fixed and mobile applications, the PentaMag requires a groundplane to operate correctly, this can be a metal enclosure, bracket or vehicle roof.

Offering a gain of 2 dBi, the PentaMag is designed for M2M (Machine to Machine), Telemetry and Telematics applications requiring wireless connectivity to multiple cellular-based frequencies including GPRS and 3G networks. Applications include vending, kiosks, access points, telematics and telemetry deployments.

The antenna is available in fixed cable and connector configurations. As standard it is supplied with 3M RG174 and SMA-male connector.4

The formal part code for this antenna is FMAG35153-SM-3K.

For 4G magnetic antennas, the L-Mag is suitable alternative.
