W433-FLY – 433 MHz captive mount whip antenna

The W433-FLY is a 433 MHz captive mount whip antenna based on a 1/4 wave groundplane dependent antenna design suitable for fixed and mobile terminals

The W433-FLY is a 433 MHz captive mount whip antenna based on a 1/4 wave whip design requiring a groundplane operate optimally. Ideal for fixed and mobile 433 MHz ISM band terminals, the W433-FLY antenna is mounted via a threaded stud and held in place but a locking nut. This captive-mount mechanism ensures that the antenna cannot be easily detached from the terminal thereby discouraging wilful or accidental removal of the antenna from the application.

The W433-FLY is housed in a flexible injection-moulded sheath and typically is supplied with approximately 215mm RG174 cable and is not terminated with a connector. Connectors can be terminated if required, but ensuring that the connector is not larger in diameter than the mounting stud. Therefore connectors such as IPEX, U.FL, MMCX and MCX make good choices for this antenna.

A SMA-Male terminated version of this antenna is available, the MW433 antenna.
