Smarteq has announced a new antenna platform that is the result of a joint research project with Skogsforsk, SP-Sveriges Tekniska Forskningsinstitut and KTH Wireless.
The new antenna platform has high antenna performance, a low profile and robust design. The multifunction antenna is easy to install and supports mobile broadband in several frequency bands as well as positioning. It has been field-tested by various actors with excellent results.
“Our cutting edge technology and advanced research enable us to meet the forest industry´s stringent requirements for antennas", says Mattias Hellgren, Director Advanced Technology at Smarteq.
“With this antenna platform, we are responding to the increasing demand for continuous connection within professional applications. The antenna is adapted for use with telematics equipment in forest machines, long-distance buses and emergency vehicles", says Thomas Valtonen at Smarteq.
The antenna platform is called LPCA - Low Profile Combination Antenna, and in its basic version contains support for mobile broadband in the frequency ranges 450/850/900/1800/1900/3G/4G as well as positioning with an active GPS antenna.
